Gemalto SafeNet TRANSEC for Metadata and Transmission Security
Gemalto SafeNet is the only vendor that offers the TRANSEC feature in a commercial Layer 2 Ethernet Encryption Solution. Traffic Analysis is the process of intercepting and examining messages in order to deduce information from patterns in communication. It can be performed even when the messages are encrypted and cannot be decrypted. TRANSEC is transmission security and is used to disguise patterns in network traffic to prevent Traffic Analysis and is an additional level of security on top of that provided by encryption. Gemalto SafeNet TRANSEC prevents that by disguising the transmission pattern of customer data and bulk encrypting ALL frame information.
